Scholarship for best master\'s thesis

The best Swedish master’s thesis within Reliability, Maintenance and Whole Life Cost is rewarded each year by Ove Ljung’s Scholarship. For 2006, this was recently awarded to Håkan Borgström and his thesis ”The Maintenance Organization: A Strategic Value Adding Force”

The motivation on the organization UTEK’s website says that the thesis “with management practices from modern production strategy, the Life Cycle Profit approach and the use of powerful computer programs in the LCC area has built a basis for not only optimizing support resources for a given availability level, but also for optimization of the availability as such.”
