CATLOC

Objectives

The objective of the CATLOC Course is to introduce the concept of LCC modeling and the use of CATLOC to build and maintain flexible LCC models. CATLOC gives the possibility to analyse all costs freely in a number of different dimensions. Typical dimensions of interest are:
  • Material (systems, equipment, items, spares...)
  • Station (stores, workshops, operation sites...)
  • Tasks (maintenance tasks, PM / CM ...)
  • Resource (personal, maintenance equipment...)
  • Time
Costs with respect to any dimension combination is easily studied and analysed in CATLOC.

In the course the students will learn to analyse CATLOC results to tackle a number of common situations, for example
  • Tenderer evaluation
  • Cost driver identification
  • Data uncertainty
The students will also learn about
  • How to perform a sensitivity analysis in CATLOC for efficient identification of parameters that have a large cost impact.
  • How CATLOC can work with information residing in databases.
  • How data can be imported to CATLOC from OPUS10.
  • After each complete CATLOC analysis you will learn how to designed tailored reportscontaining your customised result graphs / tables and LCC trees

The course also covers typical / advanced modeling features in CATLOC such as
  • Building LCC trees
  • Defining cost functions
  • Efficient data assignment using default rules
  • Handling of costs related to structure in dimensions (material, station etc)

Course Structure

This course is held for a maximum of 8 students. It will include extensive hands-on use of CATLOC, to reinforce learning points

The exercises are intended to challenge the students who will work at their own pace aided by the instructor when necessary. .

Details

This course lasts for 2 days + optionally 1 extra day arranged as a workshop for discussion and implementation of cost models that are of interests for the students. Courses are normally held at Systecon AB, Rhensgatan 20 in the center of Stockholm. For accommodation information and other questions please contact Systecon AB.

Price

The price per participant for the 2-day course version is 11 000 SEK (~1100 EUR) and for the 3-day version 16 500 SEK (~1650 EUR). The price is reduced by 15% if your company has a CATLOC support agreement with Systecon.

Please check the Course Schedule to find out when the next course is planned. You can also contact us to plan an internal company specific course to suit your schedule.
