CELEBRATING 40 YEARS
In the year 1970, Systecon was founded as a spin-off from the company Industrimatematik (Industrial mathematics). One of Systecon's first consultancy engagements, for the Swedish Marine, included the task of dimensioning on-board spares assortments for maximized system efficiency. A computer based optimization tool was built for the purpose, using newly developed mathematical methods, and the first version of Systecon's optimization tool OPUS was born.In the year 2010, we proudly celebrate the 40 year anniversary of Systecon as well as OPUS10. We have kept our focus on logistic support and system efficiency, while adapting to the continuous development of more advanced technical systems, more capable IT-solutions, new methodologies and new requirements. Quite often, Systecon has actually been part of driving that development, like when the new LCC-approach was first introduced in Sweden, within projects for FMV and SJ (X2000).
OPUS10 has also developed to become the leading software for optimization of spares and logistics support, used by demanding customers world wide. In addition Systecon has developed two additional analysis tools; SIMLOX for simulation of logistic support and operation and CATLOC for LCC and cost analysis.
We want to thank all customers, partners and suppliers, as well as Systecon's staff (past and present) for great collaboration and contributions through the years.
